Dr. D'Accordo has worked extensively with individuals with anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and personality disorders, helping them to build upon existing strengths and develop skills to cope with life's stressors. She is well equipped to employ a variety of treatment approaches with her clients based on their unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. D'Accordo has a particular interest and expertise in couple's therapy, treatment for adolescents displaying behavior problems, and families struggling to cope with ASD. She is also skilled at performing complex neuropsychological evaluations for children and adults.
Her ability to build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships lends itself well to her practice in general, and in particular to the complex demands of working with individuals and couples struggling to resolve conflict, diminish symptoms, and strengthen their relationships.
