Dr. Jennifer Zodan received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, considered one of the country's finest and most prestigious training institutes. Her breadth of experience includes work at Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center, inpatient and outpatient individual and group therapy at Nassau University Medical Center, and a variety of other clinical, assessment, and research positions.
Dr. Zodan has extensive training in conducting individual, group, couples and family therapy with both inpatient and outpatient children, adolescents, and adults. She has also been trained in psychological assessment, including both cognitive and personality functioning.
Her approach to therapy is rooted in relational psychodynamic theory, and she frequently employs a variety of cognitive and behavioral techniques, depending on the individual needs of her patients. It is this inclusive and integrative perspective that affords Dr. Zodan the ability to adapt to each situation and foster a comfortable and productive therapy environment with a wide variety of patients.
